Seller Profit Guard
Local-first Etsy profit checks for real seller workflows
Seller Profit Guard helps small Etsy sellers connect order CSV revenue with marketplace fees, Offsite Ads exposure, SKU costs, labor, packaging, shipping, refunds, and Payment Account activity. The core workflow runs in the browser, so a seller can review margin without uploading a raw order file or sending buyer information to support.
Start with the seller question, not gross sales
A product can sell well and still lose money. Gross sales do not show whether a variation used more material, whether free shipping absorbed the label cost, whether an Offsite Ads fee reduced contribution, or whether a refund also created replacement and support costs. Seller Profit Guard turns those separate questions into a repeatable review: import a public-format order CSV, map the operational columns, add editable SKU cost assumptions, inspect margin risks, and export a private working report.
- Check order-level and SKU-level profit with editable fees and costs.
- Reconcile order rows with Payment Account activity without treating deposits as profit.
- Build a reusable SKU cost library for material, packaging, labor, shipping, and target margin.
- Find variation and missing-SKU risks before a high-volume listing scales.
What stays local and what can be submitted
The free CSV workflow is designed to read files locally in the browser. Buyer names, delivery addresses, private messages, payment credentials, and platform secrets are not required for profit calculations. Waitlist and feedback forms can submit an email address and the coarse product request that a user chooses to provide, but they should never contain raw order rows or private buyer data.
Use the CSV data privacy guide before sharing screenshots or support examples. Use public dummy data when testing a mapping issue. Cost libraries and exported reports may reveal private business assumptions even when buyer details are removed, so keep those files private.
Source-backed guides for decisions that change margin
Every core guide starts with a direct answer, uses editable assumptions, links to the relevant tool, and points to official Etsy documentation when it discusses fees, exports, Payment Account activity, or refunds. The tools provide operating estimates rather than accounting, tax, legal, financial, or platform-policy advice.

Free now, with a planned Plus direction
The public tools are free to use. A future Plus plan is being evaluated for saved SKU costs, weekly checks, history, and alerts, but payment is not currently collected on this site. See the pricing and availability page for the current boundary. Product interest is validated through email-qualified feedback; anonymous clicks alone are not treated as proof of demand.
Use estimates as a review system, not a promise
Results depend on the columns in your export and the material, labor, packaging, shipping, fee, ad, and refund assumptions you enter. Marketplace rules and fees can change, so decision pages link to sources and show when they were last reviewed. Before changing a listing price or shipping policy, compare the estimate with your own statement, label, inventory, and cost records. Seller Profit Guard is independent from Etsy and does not provide tax, accounting, legal, financial, or official marketplace-policy advice.
